They're designed for guilds to purchase, not single people.

As it is at this point, guild halls are dirt cheap, capes amount to nothing(but it better look cool), so the npc's are about the only thing that still have any sort of "prestige" to them(unless you have one of those crazy faction farming guilds or something). The guild hall npc's aren't features that everyone's supposed to be able to attain, they are for the more accomplished guilds to earn them for their own convenience and general coolness of having your own mini town in your guild hall. If you can't afford them, you don't need them; just go to a town. The high price makes them an indication of whether or not you have an experienced accomplished guild when you're trying to recruit some more members. The price of the npc's has a purpose; as opposed to the mere formality of the 50gp for a storage vault.

Besides, the npcs are there to be a new gold sink, too. None of them are required, since you can get the same services in any major city.

And they aren't that expensive, even in a 8 man guild (1 PvP Team) you have them with everyone paying like 55p. Thats just about nothing ...

We thought it was pricey too at first, but if you guild is large enough the NPCs you feel are NEEDED and not just I want them there - are easily achievable as the prices for them are not quite that horrendous. I paid for 3 of the NPCs myself and our officers chipped in here and there for the more pricey ones and or bought some of the others. We have all of them and the setback of the gold was easily regained.

i agree with the others, buy asking other guildies to donate money for GH services.
most of them people won't hardly ever use anyway, theyre mostly there for if the other traders in other towns/outposts run out of stuff that you need.

Well the OP sure is a funny man. You don't even need all those npc's to begin with. Just have guildies donate the money for things like storage. Problem solved. go to towns for all the other crap.

Well if your using PvE found weapons on your PvP characters you will need the weapons NPC, but I can't think of why you would want that.

What is that supposed to mean? If there are no stock on items in normal traders they wont be at the guild hall guys either. If ones out of stock, they all are.

ok i dont like to sound mean but honestly guild hall NPC's are supposed to be worked toward. if your gonna complain about the price then u are never gonna get them. work towards it, start a guild fund farm do anything to raise money and u will eventually get it. stop being a baby about the pricing and strive for them.
